EON Defines the Missing Lane in Frontline Operations: a System of Record for How Work Is Actually Done

Unlike the CRM, workforce, and connected-worker tools already on the floor, EON’s Work Intelligence captures expert physical work into a behaving, verified 3D twin the enterprise owns — and integrates with existing systems rather than replacing them.

IRVINE, CA – June 29, 2026EON AI Ventures today introduced Work Intelligence, a new enterprise category designed to capture, structure, and continuously improve the most valuable asset in industrial organizations: how their best people actually perform physical work. Rather than replacing existing enterprise systems, Work Intelligence complements platforms such as ERP, CRM, and PLM by creating the first system of record for work itself – preserving operational expertise that has traditionally existed only in the experience of skilled workers. It complements, rather than competes with, the tools enterprises already run. The vision, market positioning, and strategic framework behind this new category are detailed in the accompanying white paper, The Lane Nobody Runs In.

“Every tool in the field today runs the logistics of work – who goes where, when, and for which customer,” said Dan Lejerskar, Chairman of EON AI Ventures. “CRM and field-service platforms dispatch the technician. Workforce systems schedule the person. Connected-worker apps overlay an instruction on the equipment. None of them captures the work itself. That is the lane we run – and we hand the proof back to the systems they already own.”

After fifteen years and more than a billion dollars of investment, the “connected worker” generation moved work off paper and onto devices, but its data ends in dashboards that summarize rather than learn. EON closes that gap with a closed loop: Genesis builds a behaving 3D twin from ordinary photographs and existing procedures – no CAD and no 3D team; Field IQ guides the worker on the real equipment and captures how the job is done; Assess IQ verifies demonstrated competence; and the result compounds with every job. The captured intelligence is owned by the enterprise, not a model vendor.

The differentiator, the company says, is the move from showing the steps to understanding the work. EON Universal learns a bounded vocabulary of roughly fifty equipment classes – mapped to the petroleum industry’s own ISO 14224 taxonomy – rather than memorizing individual facilities. Like learning the words of a language instead of every possible sentence, the system recognizes components on sight, composes facilities it has never seen, and authors conditional procedures that branch on live conditions such as residual pressure or stored energy.

Crucially, EON integrates with the installed base rather than displacing it. Work orders flow in from systems such as SAP, Oracle, IBM Maximo, ServiceNow, Workday, and Salesforce through standard connectors; completion status and proof-of-competence flow back. “ERP takes words; we take worlds,” Mr. Lejerskar  added. “The customer keeps every system they already own.”

The approach has been validated by some of the most demanding buyers in the world. Following extended competitive evaluations, EON’s Work Intelligence has been selected by two of the world’s largest energy companies — a US supermajor and a national oil company — with deployments active today, including a mandate to build one of the largest oil-and-gas training centers in the world as a precursor to field operations. EON’s platform reflects a twenty-five-year heritage spanning 4,400+ institutional customers, 80+ countries, and 136M+ downloads.

“The companies that move atoms will own the next era of value,” Mr. Lejerskar said. “The model layer is becoming a commodity. What is scarce is the expertise embedded in real work — and we capture it. We believe in worlds, not words.”
