EON introduces Competence IQ

EON introduces Competence IQ: a separate surface for signed, expiring task qualification next to EON Control

IRVINE, CA — September X, 2026 — EON AI Ventures today announced Competence IQ, a new Work Intelligence product designed to answer one precise operational question: whether a named person is qualified to perform a named task on a specific equipment class until a defined date. Designed as a “licence office for one task” rather than a training system, scorecard, or permit to work, Competence IQ brings together three essential forms of evidence—proof of knowledge, proof of real-world work, and approval from a named human assessor—into a single auditable qualification record.

The system assembles and maintains the evidence required to support the decision, but final authority remains with the qualified human assessor: the system prepares the packet; a person decides; the computer does not sign. The product architecture, qualification framework, and human-governance model are detailed in the accompanying white paper, “EON Competence IQ.”

Separate from EON Control by design

EON Control remains the shared view of people, licences, assignments, and learning results across EON products. Competence IQ does a different job. It holds the signed, expiring task passport.

Under the locked product rule:

  • Competence IQ is a new, separate surface.
  • EON Control may open it and read status, expiry, and the assessor’s name.
  • Evidence detail stays hidden from that Control read.
  • Competence IQ must not change, replace, or overwrite EON Control, EON Platform, or any other working product.

A link from Control is a door into Competence IQ. It is not a merge of the two products.

Five doors, a Guide, and a demo that reads like a real run

The surface is organised around five role doors, each limited to the question that role is allowed to ask:

Role Question
Worker What am I qualified for, and what do I need next?
Supervisor Can this crew do tomorrow’s job? (status, expiry, restrictions only)
Leader Where are we weak, in safe totals only?
Assessor Should I sign this?
Auditor Prove this person was qualified on that date.

Supervisors do not see evidence, detail or rankings. Leaders do not see named individuals in tiny groups. Assessors write the decision. Auditors follow the trail.

A Guide button on the surface explains what Competence IQ is, how a qualification is formed, and what each of the five doors is for.

The synthetic demo is fed by a synthetic customer Task Pack and synthetic product feeds so a walkthrough feels like a real run. Every fixture stays labelled synthetic. These are not live connections to working products and do not qualify a real worker.

What this is not

Competence IQ is not a replacement for training products, field systems, permits, or Control’s learning views. It points at proof made elsewhere. It does not invent customer rules. Being qualified is not permission to perform the work. It does not overwrite Control, Platform, or any working product.
