EON Field IQ Captures How Work Is Really Done, on the Phone Already in the Worker’s Pocket

The extended Field IQ guides a worker through the job, checks each step from a photo and keeps a signed record of what actually happened: the know-how that until now walked out of the room, and the data behind EON’s own AI model, EON Delta.

Irvine, CA – October 1, 2026 — EON AI Ventures announced today the extended EON Field IQ, a work intelligence platform designed to guide industrial workers through real jobs step by step while capturing a detailed record of how the work was actually performed. For every job and every step, Field IQ can document what the camera saw, which instructions or source materials were used, how long the work took, what the AI determined, and who made the final decision to proceed. The result is a signed, traceable record that helps organizations preserve practical knowledge, compare planned procedures with field execution, and turn completed work into reusable Work Intelligence. Field IQ runs today on an ordinary iPhone or iPad, bringing guidance and evidence capture to the device already available to the worker. Aimed at a problem measured in lives and trillions

The International Labour Organization (ILO) estimates that in 2019 around 2.93 million workers died from work-related factors, 330,000 of them in work accidents: roughly 900 people every day. The ILO estimates the economic burden of poor occupational safety and health at about 4 per cent of global GDP each year; the global estimate presented with the ILO in 2017 was 3.94 per cent, about US$3 trillion a year. At the same time the people who know the work best are leaving: US manufacturers alone may need as many as 3.8 million new workers between 2024 and 2033, and 1.9 million of those jobs could go unfilled, according to Deloitte and The Manufacturing Institute. Field IQ does not claim to save lives. It is aimed at that problem where it happens: at the machine, in the moment of work.

A Guide and a record of what was actually done

A procedure says what should happen, a checklist that a box was ticked, a training record that a course was passed. None of them says what was actually done at the machine. Field IQ does. A worker points the phone at a machine and, in about thirty seconds, its parts have names, pinned to the real equipment. The worker picks the job and where the steps come from: the AI’s own knowledge, the maker’s manual found online, or the company’s own procedures, manuals and permits. Each step is read aloud in the worker’s language (16 are available), with the part lit up and the motion drawn. After a step, one photo answers Done, Not yet or Can’t tell, with what the camera saw. The AI never moves the job on; the worker decides.

Every job leaves a signed, tamper-evident record and a report a supervisor can read: the machine, the job, the source and page of every step, each check photo, what the AI said, who decided, the time each step took, and any hazards found. Hazard Hunt sweeps a room for spills, cables and blocked exits; Watch me says stop out loud when it sees danger.

On any phone, and beyond it

No special hardware is needed: Ericsson counts about 7.5 billion smartphone subscriptions worldwide, so the device is already in workers’ pockets. For training environments and hands-free field work, EON carry the same steps and the same record to a phone worn on a magnetic chest band, to Meta’s display AR glasses paired with the phone, to AR glasses, and to headsets such as Meta Quest.

Every job teaches the next: the EON Delta data loop

Tesla has described how the field data captured by its vehicles is used to continually train and improve the neural networks behind its driving software. Field IQ brings the same idea to industrial work. Each job captures real work data: what was done, in what order, how long it took, what the camera saw and where it went wrong. That record is designed to feed EON Delta, EON’s proprietary AI model, which customers will get. Learning from captured jobs is the next stage: today each record stays on the device and leaves only when the worker or the customer shares it, and customers decide what is used.

Keeping the knowledge that walks out of the room

One survey found that 42 per cent of the knowledge a job needs is known only to the person who does it. Field IQ keeps the record of how the work was really done, job after job, and brings experience back to the field. EON Genesis lessons already run step by step in augmented reality on the phone, with Practice Anywhere and Assembly for training without the real machine. EON is now connecting EON Tacit, experienced workers’ know-how, and EON Live, models that behave like the real machine, so that the most experienced person’s advice appears at the step where it matters.

“At no time in history have we captured so meticulously what workers really do,” said Dan Lejerskar, Founder and Chairman of EON AI Venturs. “Everybody can do it with the phone in their pocket, and training centres and field crews will be able to go further with Quest and AR glasses. Some 900 people a day die in work accidents; Field IQ is aimed at that problem, at the moment the work is done. Tesla improves its driving software with the data its cars collect on real roads. Every Field IQ job captures how work is really done, and that will feed EON Delta, our own AI model, which our customers will get. The AI race will be won by whoever has the best data, and for the first time our customers can keep the work data that today walks out of the room. We believe Field IQ is the most comprehensive work intelligence tool ever developed.”

Availability

Field IQ runs today on iPhone and iPad and Android. Available now: recognition and guidance from AI knowledge, a maker’s manual found online or the customer’s own documents; step checks from a photo; Watch me; Hazard Hunt; EON Genesis training in AR; Practice Anywhere; Assembly; Train AI; 16 languages; and signed evidence, a readable report and an Assess IQ Report for every job. Planned: EON Live and EON Tacit in Field IQ, jobs sent straight to EON Assess IQ, hands-free, glasses and Quest, Android, and EON Delta learning from captured work.
