EON Enters Next-Generation Simulation with EON XR Infinite

Every existing EON-XR customer is offered a path to the new platform at no additional cost, as EON-XR Classic is retired.

IRVINE, CA —August 25, 2026  — EON AI Ventures together with EON Reality, today announced EON XR Infinite, a next-generation simulation platform in which an author names a subject and receives a narrated, interactive 3D Simulation built around a real 3D object the learner can operate. In the same announcement, the company confirmed that EON-XR Classic — the original EON-XR product — is being discontinued, and that every existing EON-XR customer will be offered a path to EON XR Infinite at no additional cost on the subscription they already hold.

EON AI Ventures is plain about what the product it is retiring achieved. EON-XR was an excellent product: a bridge between a traditional LMS and the real lab. It put immersive content in the hands of teachers and trainers who would otherwise have had none, and it did real work for real customers for years. What it could not do was full simulation.  The evolution, technology, and transition strategy are detailed in the accompanying white paper, From Bridge to Simulator: The Next Generation of EON-XR.”

Customers said so themselves. The recurring verdict in EON AI Ventures’ own customer conversations was that EON-XR delivered good value against a traditional LMS for learn, train and perform — and that it was still far away from a real simulator. EON XR Infinite is built to close exactly that gap.

Licensed technology. EON XR Infinite is built on technologies EON AI Ventures has licensed from EON AI Ventures Inc. The innovations developed by that company are what make the new generation possible, and EON AI Ventures has built the next-generation EON-XR on them. EON Genesis, the platform EON XR Infinite runs on, was originally developed by EON AI Ventures. The two are separate legal entities, with formal intellectual-property and operational agreements that enable collaboration between them.

What EON XR Infinite does

An author types a subject, and a narrated, interactive 3D Simulation is built around it in minutes. In the platform today:

  • The system reaches roughly a million free 3D models. Every one is licence-checked for commercial use before anyone sees it, with the attribution recorded.
  • One subject returns five different courses, graded Level 1 “Starting out” through Level 5 “Mastery”. The author takes one, or several, or writes their own.
  • The system names the parts by looking at the actual 3D object — in a live run it is named twelve parts on a real jet engine — and writes the procedure document automatically.
  • It builds a photorealistic 360° environment around the subject; a real one was generated in about thirty seconds.
  • Four ways to learn — Show Me, Train Me, Let Me Try and Evaluate Me — with the last one scored, and results administrators can see.
  • Spoken narration, and the same Simulation delivered in multiple languages.
  • A human reviews and corrects every AI-produced label before anything is published. That step is mandatory and cannot be skipped.
  • Approved models join the library, so the next author gets one instantly. A repeat build took 0.2 seconds against 25 seconds the first time.
  • It runs on the Meta Quest 3 headsets customers already own, and is built on EON Genesis: a modern Babylon-based engine with photorealistic presenters.

The name is the promise. Where EON Genesis is focused on the enterprise, EON XR Infinite offers an endless supply of subjects rather than a fixed catalogue — which is where “Infinite” comes from. Because it is a layer on top of EON Genesis rather than a separate product, every improvement to Genesis reaches EON XR Infinite automatically.

Why EON-XR Classic is being retired

EON-XR Classic stood on technologies made by other companies, and a number of those companies have switched their products off. That is the honest reason, and it is not one more engineering can outrun. The familiar parallel is the 3G network sunset: when the carriers switched 3G off, perfectly good handsets stopped working — not because anything was wrong with the handset, and not because of anything the owner had done. The network underneath it was gone. The responsible carriers did not try to repair the handsets; they handed their customers a new and better one.

EON AI Ventures is taking the same course. This is a planned generational transition, not an abandonment. Every existing EON-XR customer is offered EON XR Infinite at no additional cost on their existing subscription, with hands-on help to bring their work across — some material will convert and some will be rebuilt, and EON AI Ventures does that work, not the customer.

“EON-XR was a good product and I will not pretend otherwise — it was the bridge between a traditional LMS and the real lab, and it served our customers well. But it could not do full simulation, and our customers told us so. EON XR Infinite closes that gap. We are not asking anyone to pay for the difference: every existing customer moves across at no additional cost,” said Dan Lejerskar, Founder & Chairman, EON AI Ventures.
