New EON Universal architecture teaches equipment by class and captures real-world variants automatically — in minutes, the same day.
IRVINE, CA — July 21, 2026 — EON AI Ventures, the global leader in AI-powered spatial knowledge solutions, today announced the Living Library, a new architecture inside EON Universal that solves one of the oldest problems in industrial training and digital twins: the real world contains effectively infinite equipment variants, and no content library has ever been able to keep up. The architecture, knowledge model, and scalability framework are detailed in the accompanying white paper, “The Living Library: How EON Universal Builds Industrial 3D Knowledge That Scales to Reality.”
The Living Library takes a fundamentally different approach. Instead of attempting to model the world in advance, EON builds approximately 50 photorealistic equipment “families” per industry — the archetypes that teach each class of machine, correctly scaled to real-world dimensions and labeled down to individual buttons and parts. Then, when EON Universal Recognition encounters a specific make and model in a real facility that the library does not yet hold, the system generates that exact variant from photographs in minutes and registers it into the library the same day — after a single human approval.

“Nobody can pre-build reality, and everyone who has tried has failed,” said Dan Lejerskar, Founder of EON AI Ventures. “Our insight is that training is taught by class, not by serial number — so we build the classes brilliantly, and we let reality deliver the variants. Every time our recognition meets a machine we don’t have, the library grows by exactly one machine, the same day. The library is alive.”
One museum, four wings
The Living Library launches with four industry wings, each a separate library sharing one intelligence engine:
- Medical — infusion, ventilation, monitoring, imaging, surgical, sterilization, and laboratory equipment
- Aerospace MRO — powerplant, landing gear, hydraulics, and avionics, organized by ATA chapter
- Mining — excavation, haulage, crushing, conveying, and processing equipment
- Oil & Gas — the founding wing, already more than 340 components deep and proven in a major-operator training pilot
Wings are never mixed — a hospital never sees a dragline — yet every wing inherits the same viewer, procedure engine, cutaway “see inside” teaching views, and competency tracking. Because the intelligence lives at the family level, a captured variant is never a dumb 3-D scan: it is born already knowing everything its family knows — anatomy, operation, make-safe procedures, and failure modes.
A different category of speed
A complete 50-family industry wing — photorealistic, HD-textured, cut away, and correctly scaled — is built in days, where a single traditionally modeled 3D asset costs $500–$2,000 and takes days on its own. Mirroring an entire real facility’s specific equipment becomes a one-week, bounded exercise instead of an open-ended modeling contract.
Human-gated by design
Every AI-generated model passes a human blessing gate before it reaches any user. Fidelity labels, sourced dimensions, and specification-driven part naming keep the library honest — a discipline EON considers as important as the technology itself.
Today, hundreds of smart components across oil & gas and mining are in production, with the medical and aerospace wings in active build — the medical pilot is live now.
