Proposed 30-card catalog brings cited mining incidents and dangerous operating moments into one visual learning front door across surface, underground, and processing and tailings operations.
IRVINE, CA — July 22, 2026 — EON AI Ventures today unveiled a development preview of the Mining Situation Room, a proposed visual learning catalog designed to help mining personnel recognize dangerous operating conditions before the moment becomes irreversible.
The current review catalog organizes 30 candidate incident cards across three mining worlds: surface operations, underground operations, and processing and tailings. Its scope covers both major catastrophes and recurring operating hazards, including tailings-storage failures, underground fire and explosion, ground collapse, inundation, mobile-equipment interactions, conveyor and crusher hazards, electrical events, blasting, and loss of vehicle control. The vision, learning methodology, and implementation framework are detailed in the accompanying white paper, “The Mining Situation Room: From Incident Evidence to Role-Relevant Operational Learning.”
The Mining Situation Room is designed around a simple idea: an incident begins before the alarm. Each card presents the equipment, environment, warning conditions, human-factor traps, and decisions associated with a dangerous moment. Content can be routed for different work perspectives, including operators, supervisors, control-room personnel, processing personnel, geotechnical or tailings personnel, and safety and emergency-response leaders.
The catalog is being developed as a cited and reviewable resource. Candidate cards must be grounded in official investigations, regulatory alerts or datasets, standards, inquiries, or equivalent authoritative records. Material claims and numbers are subject to a separate adversarial fact-check. Cases that cannot meet the evidence standard are revised or removed.
The visual policy is equally strict. Incident imagery focuses on terrain, equipment, infrastructure, warning conditions, smoke, dust, water, containment, or respectful aftermath. It does not depict victims, bodies, injuries, gore, panic, identifiable affected people, operator branding, or unsupported blame. Visualizations of historical events are conceptual learning images, not documentary photographs.

The present development preview is a catalog and storefront experience. It does not yet deliver playable EON Life simulations, a functioning Ask Brainy assistant, course modules, an EON XR simulator, scored multiple-choice assessments, oral examinations, or certification. Those learning components may be represented on cards as “coming online,” but they are future product layers and will not be described as operational until their respective systems, assessment contracts, and approvals exist.
Ask Brainy is intended to become the tacit-knowledge layer: a cited conversational guide that explains what experienced personnel notice, what warning signs are easy to normalize, what questions should be asked, and how the situation can be handed over clearly. It is not currently represented as a live or independently certified source of mining instruction.
Future EON Life and XR experiences are intended to turn selected cards into playable practice. Those experiences remain outside the present catalog scope and will be released only after the required technical, safety, content, and assessment reviews. The current preview makes no claim of regulatory approval, certification, training credit, or equivalence to a mine operator’s procedures, equipment manuals, emergency plans, or legally required training.
The Mining Situation Room is English-first and is being designed for future localization. Its intended audiences include mine operators, contractors, safety organizations, training centers, equipment and technology partners, industry bodies, and public-sector stakeholders.
Availability
The Mining Situation Room is currently in development and review. The 30-card candidate catalog, source corpus, imagery, and product experience remain subject to evidence, dignity, technical, and approval gates. Availability, commercial terms, participating organizations, and release timing have not been announced.
