EON AI Ventures Launches EON Universal: Facility-Agnostic Field Intelligence That Begins in the Training Center and Carries Into the Field

A new approach for oil & gas and heavy industry: train workers on equipment that understands itself, then extend the same intelligence into field operations.

IRVINE, CA. – June 25, 2026 – EON AI Ventures Pte Ltd today introduced EON Universal, a facility-agnostic field-intelligence system that recognizes industrial equipment on sight and guides a worker through any facility – beginning where adoption is safest and most measurable, the training center, and extending the same intelligence into field operations.

Across oil and gas and heavy industry, a generation of experienced operators and maintenance engineers is retiring, taking decades of undocumented, tacit knowledge with them. The workers replacing them are far less experienced, while facilities remain complex, inconsistently documented, and individually engineered. EON Universal addresses this by capturing how equipment works and behaves into a reusable, machine-readable library, and delivering that understanding to workers through assisted-reality glasses or a tablet. Training first – as the precursor to the field

EON Universal is designed to be adopted in two stages. It begins in the training center, a controlled, low-risk environment where its value is immediate and easy to prove, and where workers can practice — including on hazardous procedures — without consequence. Because the system understands components rather than memorizing a single facility, the competence a worker builds in training transfers directly to the equipment they will meet in operations. Training is therefore not a separate product but the on-ramp to the field.

This staged approach lets operators realize value and build confidence in the controlled setting first, then extend the same component intelligence to live field work — a lower-risk path to a capability the industry has long considered out of reach.

Beyond a fixed simulator – a system that understands

Conventional training simulators demonstrate a fixed, authored procedure and check whether a learner follows it. EON Universal adds a layer those systems do not have: an understanding of the equipment itself. As a result it can present conditional procedures that branch on live conditions – for example, recognizing that a de-energized pump may still hold pressure that must be safely released before work continues – inject and diagnose faults, generate new but engineering-valid training configurations on demand, and assess a worker against the reasoning behind a procedure, not only the button they pressed.

EON Universal is positioned to complement, not replace, existing operator process simulators, which it can incorporate as one input where deep process fidelity is required.

“For decades the industry has wanted to put an expert in every worker’s ear, and it simply wasn’t possible,” said Dan Lejerskar, Founder and Chairman of EON AI Ventures. “We start in the training center because that is where operators can see the value safely and immediately — and because a worker who has learned the equipment there is ready for the field. Training is the precursor; the field is the destination.”

EON Universal also changes the economics of training. Where a center is physically limited to the equipment it can build and maintain, a single component library allows it to generate a large and varied set of valid configurations, so workers can be prepared for the diversity of real-world equipment rather than a handful of fixed rigs.

“We are not promising a thirty-year veteran on day one,” said Mats Johansson, President of EON AI Ventures. “We deliver a reliable, well-guided technician immediately, and a system that gets measurably better with every job. Proving that in the training center is the most credible first step toward the field.”

Availability

EON Universal is being introduced to leading operators in oil and gas and adjacent heavy industries, beginning with training-center deployments and progressing to field operations. The system is delivered across assisted-reality glasses and tablets, with responsible deployment in classified hazardous areas requiring certified, intrinsically safe hardware.
