EON AI Ventures Launches 3D Model Inside: AI That Builds 3D Models of Machines You Can Take Apart

Model Inside reads engineering drawings and builds every internal part of a machine as a separate, named 3D part, so technicians can learn complex overhauls in XR before they touch real equipment.

IRVINE, CA — October 22, 2026 — EON AI Ventures today announced the beta release of EON Model Inside, an AI engine that finds or builds complete 3D models of industrial machines, inside and out. Conventional 3D models are hollow shells. Every Model Inside model comes apart part by part, and each component carries its real name from the manufacturer’s manual. The models flow directly into EON Genesis 3 for assembly, disassembly and overhaul training on the web, on tablets and in headsets.

Overhaul training depends on the inside of a machine: the diaphragm, the valve seats, the gears and the seals a technician actually replaces. Until now those interiors had to be modelled by hand, at a cost of weeks of specialist work per machine. Manufacturers publish the outside of their equipment for installation and keep the inside in drawings and service manuals. Model Inside turns those drawings into training-ready 3D. The technology, AI methodology, and approach to unlocking the internal anatomy of industrial equipment are detailed in the accompanying white paper, “Inside Every Machine.”

Model Inside in three steps

  1. Look. Model Inside first searches 3D model libraries and existing CAD for a usable model of the machine.
  2. Build. If none exists, an AI modelling agent reads the machine’s drawings and builds every part in Blender, the open-source 3D suite, one part at a time, comparing each part with its drawing as it works.
  3. Check. Automatic checks confirm that every part fits its neighbors, carries its name and comes out along the right path, before the model is released for training.

“Every technician learns a machine by taking it apart. For twenty-five years, the slowest part of building that training has been modelling the inside of the machine. Model Inside hands that work to AI, so our customers can train on the real interior of their equipment, in days rather than months,” said Dan Lejerskar, Founder and Chairman, EON AI Ventures.

Built for real equipment

  • Every part is separate and named, matching the item numbers in the manufacturer’s manual.
  • Checked to fit, with automatic tests for gaps, overlaps and a clear removal path for every part.
  • Light enough for headsets, delivered as one compressed file designed for Meta Quest 3 in the browser.
  • Mixed methods when needed, using standard-part generators for bolts and bearings, and expert review for anything the AI cannot build.
  • Customer material stays private, with models built from drawings the customer supplies and permits.

Why now

Research published in 2026 shows that AI agents writing 3D modelling code improve sharply when they can check and correct their own work. In one benchmark of twelve AI models, feeding errors back raised the share of working modelling scripts from 70 to 97 percent. The same research found that such agents still leave parts floating or disconnected. Model Inside applies the self-correcting loop to engineering drawings and adds the fit checks that catch those failures.
